On the directions of District Administration Kupwara, the first phase of the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign was successfully launched across various schools in the district.
The campaign inaugurated by Nodal Officer IEC Campaign at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Handwara, focused on spreading awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse among students.
Resource persons from different departments conducted interactive sessions and educational talks, highlighting the physical, psychological, and social consequences of substance abuse.
The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from over 1500 students, along with members of the civil society, school staff and local stakeholders.
The campaign is a part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to create a drug-free environment and instill healthy lifestyle choices among the youth.
Further phases of the campaign will continue as per schedule.
