
Jiribam, July 6: Major General I.S. Bhinder, Inspector General, Assam Rifles (East), visited the Company Operating Base (COB) at Borobekra in Manipur's Jiribam district to review the prevailing security situation and assess the operational preparedness of troops deployed in the area.
During the visit, the senior officer interacted with officers and jawans, commending them for their professionalism, dedication and unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and security in the region. He reviewed the overall security scenario and stressed the importance of maintaining a high level of operational readiness to effectively address emerging challenges.
As part of the visit, Major General Bhinder also held interactions with representatives of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), community leaders and local representatives. The discussions focused on strengthening coordination between the security forces and the local population while promoting mutual trust and cooperation.
He emphasised the need for preserving peace, communal harmony and social cohesion, urging all stakeholders to work collectively towards ensuring stability and development in the region.
