Jammu, July 16: The District Administration Jammu has sealed an unauthorised de-addiction centre in the Kunjwani area after it was found operating without valid registration from the competent authority.

The action was carried out during a late-night inspection conducted on the directions of District Magistrate Dr Rakesh Minhas.

Officials said the facility, operating under the name “Jivan Ka Ehsaas,” failed to produce the mandatory registration documents required to run a de-addiction centre

Following the inspection, the premises were sealed and further action was initiated under the relevant legal provisions.

The district administration has urged people to seek treatment only from de-addiction centres registered with the Health Department to ensure regulated and safe care.

Residents have also been advised to report unauthorised de-addiction centres operating in their areas or rented properties to the authorities for appropriate action.
