Srinagar, Jan 20 : The Indian Army organised a Rozgaar Mela (Job Fair) at the Chinar Nau Jawan Club in Uri from 15 to 20 January 2026 to support unemployed educated youth of Uri Tehsil in Baramulla district, Jammu and Kashmir.
The job fair aimed to inform young people about government and private job schemes, help them with employment-related issues, and connect them with job opportunities. The event was organised by Dagger Division in collaboration with REACHA Foundation under the Chinar Corps.
Around 12 well-known companies took part in the Rozgaar Mela, offering jobs in sectors such as Information Technology, Hospitality, Finance, and Manufacturing. Special focus was given to ex-servicemen and their families, especially those living in border areas.
Apart from job placements, the participants were provided career guidance, counselling, and information about skill development programs. They were also guided on how to use the Jammu and Kashmir Employment Portal for future job opportunities.
The Rozgaar Mela received a positive response from the youth, ex-servicemen, and their families, who thanked the Indian Army for supporting the local community. Many people requested that such job fairs be held regularly.
