Jammu, May 21: In a significant step towards strengthening, modernizing, and technologically upgrading the railway administrative system, a newly constructed state-of-the-art Main Conference Hall was inaugurated today at the Jammu Railway Administrative Complex.The modern facility was formally inaugurated in a traditional manner by the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Jammu, Shri Vivek Kumar, in the presence of senior railway officials, technical engineers, and administrative staff. The occasion marked an important milestone in enhancing administrative efficiency and digital connectivity within the railway network.

The newly developed Conference Hall has been designed in line with the evolving digital needs of railway operations. More than just a conventional meeting room, the facility has been established as an advanced communication and coordination hub aimed at making administrative decision-making faster, more efficient, and transparent.Special emphasis has been laid on modern architecture, digital integration, and technical requirements to ensure seamless coordination among various railway departments and offices across the country.
The Conference Hall has been developed as per modern standards and is equipped with several advanced facilities.The hall features Ultra-HD display systems and a modern sound setup to facilitate clear presentations, virtual meetings, and detailed data analysis.The entire complex is integrated with high-speed internet connectivity and secure network systems to ensure uninterrupted communication and swift transfer of large volumes of data.
The facility enables direct real-time communication with the Ministry of Railways, Railway Board, and major railway divisions across the country. Comfortable and ergonomic seating has been provided to ensure better productivity and convenience during long-duration meetings and review sessions. The hall has been fully soundproofed to allow confidential discussions and strategic deliberations without external disturbances.
Addressing the gathering after the inauguration ceremony, Divisional Railway Manager, Jammu, Shri Vivek Kumar, congratulated the entire team associated with the project and emphasized the importance of modern communication infrastructure in railway administration.
He said that the present era demands rapid communication and quick decision-making, and the establishment of this modern Conference Hall would significantly strengthen both internal and external communication capabilities of the Jammu Railway Administrative Complex.
He further stated that the facility would greatly assist in conducting strategic meetings, safety reviews, and coordination during emergency and disaster management situations. The new infrastructure, he added, would not only save valuable time but also improve inter-departmental coordination and operational efficiency within the railway system.
