A spirited celebration of sportsmanship, discipline and youthful energy marked the ongoing Inter-Zonal District Level Tournament in Doda, which continues to inspire and empower the region’s youth through dynamic displays of athletic talent and teamwork.
Today’s events saw participation from over 320 student athletes representing different educational zones. Competitions were held in multiple disciplines including Cricket (U-14 Boys & U-17/U-19 Girls), Taekwondo (All Age Group Girls), Wrestling (All Age Group Girls) and Carrom (All Age Group Boys).
The competitions were marked by remarkable performances, as young athletes showcased grit, discipline, and sportsmanship. Each match reflected the participants’ strong commitment to excellence and fair play.
To acknowledge their achievements, meritorious athletes were felicitated with medals, trophies and certificates, symbolizing not only their victory but also their dedication, perseverance and sporting spirit.
Organized under the aegis of the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports (YSS), J&K, the tournament is being conducted on the directions of Director General YSS, Anuradha Gupta and Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh. The event is further guided by Joint Director Jammu Vinakshi Koul and held under the overall supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Jaffar Haider Sheikh.
The DYSSO applauded the tireless efforts of the organizing staff and extended special appreciation to the field teams whose dedication ensured maximum student participation across zones.
