IRP-18th Battalion takes out Tiranga Bike Rally

To spread the awareness about the National Flag and invoke patriotic spirit among the masses, IRP-18th Battalion, DPL Jammu, today organized a Special Tiranga Bike Rally here as part of "Har Ghar Jhanda" programme being held under the aegis of "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav".
In all, 75 bikers including J&K Police Pipe Band and officers/officials of IRP-18th BN participated in the Rally enthusiastically.
The rally was flagged off and led by Kulbir Singh, SSP Commandant of the Battalion from the Battalion Hqrs. The rally passed through Brigadier Rajinder Singh Chowk Jammu to Parade Chowk, Maharaja Hari Singh Chowk (Mandir Masjid Point), Bikram Chowk, Satwar Chowk and finshed at Gole Market Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
During the rally, the J & K Police Band played patriotic songs/tunes. The main aim of the rally was to spread awareness about our National Flag.
Speaking on the occasion, Kulbir Singh highlighted the importance of the National Flag (Tiranga), India's Independence and the role of our valiant freedom fighters, who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the Country. Finally, the Special Tiranga Bike Rally culminated at Gole Market Gandhi Nagar Jammu. Flags were also distributed among the public. J&K Pipe band displayed national songs at different location.
