Jammu, Aug 12: The Jammu & Kashmir Yogasana Sports Association will organise the 7th District Jammu Yogasana Sports Championship 2026-27 on August 21 and 22 at the Judo Hall, M.A. Stadium, Jammu.

The two-day championship, scheduled to begin at 10 am, aims to promote Yogasana as a competitive sport, encourage youth participation and identify promising talent for higher-level competitions.
Athletes from across Jammu District will compete in Cadet, Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior categories for boys, girls, men and women. Competitions will be conducted under the rules and regulations prescribed by Yogasana Bharat.
Outstanding performers will be considered for selection to represent Jammu District at the forthcoming Union Territory and National Yogasana Sports Championships.
The organisers said the event will also promote physical fitness, discipline, concentration, mental well-being and sportsmanship among young athletes while providing them with valuable competitive exposure.
Zoha Barkat, Organizing Secretary, said the championship would offer young athletes an important platform to showcase their abilities, gain experience and aspire for representation at higher levels. She urged athletes, parents and coaches across Jammu District to participate enthusiastically.
The association has invited sports enthusiasts, parents, coaches, educational institutions and media representatives to attend the championship and encourage the participating athletes.
