
Srinagar, Jan 21: Jammu and Kashmir Field Archery teams have departed to participate in the 15th FAAI National Field Archery Championship 2026, scheduled to be held at Alibaug, Mumbai, Maharashtra, from 22nd to 26th January 2026.
The J&K contingent comprises Hoorain Feroz, Zaara Waseem, Ziya Waseem, Alina Jawid, Ajwa Abid, Seerat Zehra, Urwa Shakir, Faris Shameem, Mohd. Yameen Gania and Anam Showkat. All the players are students of Birla Open Minds International School, Pampore. The team is accompanied by Team Coach Waseem Ahmad Beigh.
While speaking on the occasion, Secretary, Field Archery Association of Jammu and Kashmir, Mohammad Sufiyan Bhat, expressed confidence in the team and said that he hopes the young archers will put up an impressive performance and bring laurels and medals for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir at the national level.
