
The Jammu & Kashmir Carrom Association has finalized a 12-member team along with 2 officials to participate in the 50th Junior National Carrom Championship, being organized by the All India Carrom Federation in association with the State Carrom Association, Madhya Pradesh and the Gwalior Jila Carrom Association. The championship is scheduled to be held from 1st to 4th November 2025 at LNIPE, Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh).
The selection process was conducted by the Association’s Selection Committee comprising Adil Shah (President), Mudasir Khan (General Secretary) and Arif Sultan (Treasurer), under the supervision of the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council Selection Committee headed by Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar (Manager, Bakshi Stadium) and Shabir Ahmad Dar (In-charge, Sports Stadium, Budgam) on 6th October 2025 at Carrom Hall, Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar.
The selected players underwent a 14-day coaching camp at Carrom Hall, Bakshi Stadium, followed by a screening session conducted by Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar (Manager Bakshi Stadium), Hilal Ahmad Bhat (Dy. Manager Polo Ground Srinagar) and Burhan Ahmad (KICOE, J&K Sports Council) at Indoor Stadium, Polo Ground.
Additionally, Adil Shah, President of the Jammu & Kashmir Carrom Association, will accompany the contingent and attend the Working Committee Meeting of the All India Carrom Federation scheduled during the championship.
