
Srinagar, Aug 14: The Jammu & Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO), under the aegis of the Industries & Commerce Department, organised a Virtual E-Commerce Seller Onboarding Drive on the Flipkart Samarth platform to help artisans, MSMEs and entrepreneurs access wider digital markets.
The programme drew participation from more than 250 artisans, MSMEs and entrepreneurs from across Jammu and Kashmir, reflecting growing interest among local enterprises in using e-commerce to expand their customer base and business opportunities.
In his welcome address, JKTPO Managing Director Sudershan Kumar highlighted the growing importance of digital commerce in strengthening market linkages for local enterprises.
He urged artisans and MSMEs to embrace e-commerce platforms to overcome geographical limitations, improve product visibility and reach customers across the country.
During the session, Anshul Nanda from Flipkart briefed participants on the benefits of joining the platform and the opportunities available to artisans, MSMEs and other sellers. He highlighted the potential of e-commerce to enhance product visibility, expand consumer reach and create new avenues for business growth.
Flipkart representative Adil Javaid Khan delivered a detailed presentation on the Flipkart Samarth platform, familiarising participants with the onboarding process and ways to establish and strengthen their digital presence.
The interactive session also enabled participating enterprises to seek clarifications and gain practical insights into using e-commerce for business expansion.
The initiative is part of JKTPO’s continued efforts to promote digital adoption, strengthen market access and connect Jammu and Kashmir’s artisans, MSMEs and other enterprises with wider consumer markets through leading e-commerce platforms.
The programme concluded with a call to more enterprises across the Union Territory to adopt digital commerce, strengthen their online presence and explore new avenues for sustainable growth.
