Kalyani (West Bengal), Feb 18: Jammu and Kashmir scripted a historic milestone on Wednesday by reaching the Ranji Trophy final for the first time in their 67-year history. The team defeated two-time former champions Bengal by six wickets on day four of the semifinal.
Chasing a modest target of 126 set by Bengal, J&K achieved it in 34.4 overs, with standout contributions from Vanshaj Sharma (43 not out) and Abdul Samad (30 not out), who guided the team to victory.
