
Srinagar, June 1: The Pencak Silat Association of Jammu & Kashmir has announced selection trials and screening for UT teams ahead of the 14th Pre-Teen, Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior National Pencak Silat Championships 2026–27, to be held in Nashik, Maharashtra and Shillong, Meghalaya.
The trials for Singa, Macan, Pre-Teen, Sub-Junior, Junior (Boys & Girls) and Senior (Men & Women) categories will be conducted on June 9–10, 2026 at the Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex (SKISC), Srinagar. Screening of selected athletes will take place on June 11 at the same venue.
Interested participants are required to submit entries by June 5, 2026 via email at jksilat@gmail.com.
Athletes must carry mandatory documents including a date of birth certificate, duly attested medical fitness form, and parental consent for minors. The association has made it clear that no player will be allowed to participate without complete documentation.
Officials said the initiative aims to identify and prepare talented athletes from across Jammu & Kashmir for national-level competition and encourage wider participation in martial arts.
