Under the aegis of the Civic Action Programme, Police in Baramulla organized a cricket tournament at SNW Stadium Chanderhama with the participation of eight teams from the area.
The tournament was formally inaugurated by SDPO Pattan Shri Shahijahan Choudhary-JKPS in presence of DySP Ops Pattan Shri Urfan Ahmad-JKPS, DySP Probationer Pattan Shri Vikram Choudhary-JKPS, SHO Pattan and DO Palhalan. The inaugural match was played between Pattan Pirates and Falcon Fearless Sarai.
Speaking on the occasion, SDPO Pattan welcomed the players and spectators and urged the participants to display enthusiasm, fairness, and the spirit of true sportsmanship. He also encouraged the spectators to support the teams to boost their morale. Highlighting the purpose of the event, SDPO Pattan said that such tournaments are aimed at constructively engaging the youth, keeping them away from the menace of drugs, and further strengthening their bond with police.
