Srinagar, Oct 26: J&K RPGS (Congress) has reiterated its commitment to promoting national unity, democratic values, social harmony and inclusive development at a meeting held at the organisation’s central office in Mominabad, Srinagar.

The meeting was chaired by Aijaz Khan, State President of J&K RPGS (Congress), and attended by Sheikh Aijaz Makhdoomi, General Secretary, Imtiyaz Ahmed Khan, State Secretary, and other party functionaries and members.
Addressing the gathering, Aijaz Khan stressed that India’s progress depended on people rising above divisions of caste, creed, religion and region. He said collective responsibility, mutual respect and equal opportunities were essential to building a strong and progressive nation.
Referring to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s message, “Nafrat ke bazaar mein humne mohabbat ki dukaan kholi hai,” Khan emphasised the importance of brotherhood, constitutional values and respect for diversity in public life.
He said the organisation would intensify its grassroots outreach across Jammu and Kashmir to spread the message of unity, social harmony and inclusive development. Participants also expressed their resolve to strengthen Rahul Gandhi’s leadership and work towards the party’s stated political objectives.
The meeting discussed extending organisational support to the forthcoming programme at Ramlila Maidan and called upon party workers to remain active and connected with people at the grassroots level.
The gathering concluded with a resolve to strengthen the organisation across Jammu and Kashmir and work towards a society founded on democratic principles, fraternity and inclusive progress.
