
New Delhi, Mar 10: The Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation (JKTPO), under the Industries and Commerce Department, is highlighting the region’s rich agro and food processing potential at the 40th edition of AAHAR 2026, Asia’s largest Food & Beverage and Hospitality exhibition, held from March 10–14 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
Organized by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) in association with the Ministry of Food Processing Industries under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Programme (RAMP), the event brings together over 1,800 exhibitors, 155 international participants from 17 countries, buyers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders. The exhibition provides a key platform for entrepreneurs from Jammu & Kashmir to gain market exposure, forge trade partnerships, and showcase their products to a global audience.
The J&K Pavilion, located at Hall No. 1, First Floor IF-23, features MSMEs, FPOs, and women entrepreneurs, presenting premium products including GI-tagged saffron, garlic, rajmah, Basmati rice, Sulai (Acacia) and multifloral honey, millets, organic honey, essential oils, herbs, spices, pulses, dry fruits, and dehydrated fruits and vegetables. The pavilion aims to enhance the visibility of J&K’s agri-value chains in national and international markets while fostering B2B interactions and potential trade partnerships.
Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director, JKTPO, highlighted the organization’s commitment to promoting MSMEs, food processors, and agri-entrepreneurs from the UT. He emphasized that participation in global platforms like AAHAR strengthens market access, boosts product visibility, and enhances export potential for J&K’s high-quality agri and food products.
The exhibition, inaugurated by Union Commerce & Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, underscores India’s growing food processing ecosystem and export competitiveness, while positioning Jammu & Kashmir as a hub for premium agricultural, horticultural, and value-added food products on the global stage.
