The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association’s Medical, Paramedical, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Physiotherapy Wings expressed outrage over the tragic blast near the Red Fort in New Delhi, which claimed over 12 innocent lives and left several others seriously injured. The Association wings described the blast as a barbaric, cowardly, and senseless act of terror that has taken precious lives and shaken the conscience of the entire nation.
In a Statement, It said that, No words can ease their suffering, but our prayers and solidarity remain with them during this unimaginably difficult time. The Association wings also called for a transparent, thorough, and time-bound investigation into the incident, urging law-enforcement agencies to identify and bring the perpetrators to justice at the earliest.
Reiterating their long-standing position, the Association wings said that “Kashmiri students believe in India’s democracy, constitutional values, and mainstream ethos. We strongly reject terrorism, separatism, secessionism, radicalisation, and any ideology that seeks to weaken, divide, or destabilise the nation. We have never condoned violence nor endorsed any secessionist tendencies. Our commitment to peace, unity, national integrity, and coexistence is unwavering.”
The Association wings affirmed their willingness to fully cooperate with authorities in any manner required to ensure the perpetrators are apprehended. “Anyone involved in such a heinous act, directly or indirectly is neither a friend of Kashmir nor a representative of any religious community. Terror has no religion, no region, and no identity.”
The Association also condemned any attempt to justify violence in the name of religion. “When suicide is haram in Islam, suicide bombing is equally and unequivocally haram. It involves taking one’s own life and killing innocent people; both strictly prohibited in Islam. Suicide bombing violates the sanctity of life, spreads fear, and creates chaos on earth, all of which are explicitly forbidden.”
The Qur’an states that killing even one innocent person is akin to killing all of humanity. Any justification offered by Mr. Umar or anyone else is deeply misguided, dangerous, and contrary to Islamic teachings. Such narratives distort religion, fuel extremism, and mislead young minds. We condemn such interpretations unequivocally.
The Medical, Nursing, Paramedical, Pharmacy, and Physiotherapy Wings of the Association expressed concern over comments that individuals from health-related professions may be connected to the incident. This is deeply disturbing. If anyone is found guilty, strict legal action must follow. However, no professional community should be maligned without evidence. Acts of terror cannot break the resolve of those committed to healing, protecting, and serving society.
