
The Jammu & Kashmir Throwball Association recently organized two significant events at Legends School, Srinagar. The first event was a special felicitation ceremony to honor the girls' Throwball team for their outstanding participation in the National Throwball Championship held in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, last year. The team was lauded for their hard work, dedication, and exceptional performance on the national stage.
The second event was the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the J&K Throwball Association for 2025, where key issues concerning the growth and development of the sport in the region were discussed. The AGM was attended by the Association’s office bearers, district presidents, secretaries, and senior players, who all contributed to the discussion and decision-making process.
During the felicitation ceremony, the girls' team was honored by Senior Faculty members of Legends School, Jinab Mohammad Ismail Sir and Shahida Parveen Ma'am, who presented them with awards for their achievements.
Key topics discussed during the AGM included the organization of Coaching Camps, the District and UT Throwball Championships, and the participation of the Association at the national level. One of the most exciting developments discussed was the upcoming Federation Cup, which will be hosted in Srinagar in September 2024 by the J&K Throwball Association. Financial matters, sponsorship opportunities, and strategies to enhance the sport's reach were also thoroughly discussed.
Sahil Ali, the General Secretary of the J&K Throwball Association, welcomed all the dignitaries and members and expressed his gratitude to everyone for their continued support in making all of the Association's activities a success. He concluded the meeting with a vote of thanks, emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration for the future of Throwball in the region.
