J&K UT Yogasana Championship concludes

The 6th Jammu & Kashmir UT Level Yogasana Sports Championship 2025 concluded successfully with great enthusiasm at the Multipurpose Indoor Hall, Polo Ground, Srinagar. Organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Yogasana Sports Association in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council under the banner of “My Youth My Pride”, the three-day event from 5th to 7th November witnessed participation from athletes representing over 20 districts of the Union Territory.

The Closing Ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Nuzhat Gazala, Divisional Sports Officer, J&K Sports Council. Guests of Honour included Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar (Asian’s Strongest Man and Weightlifting Coach) & Mr. Shafqat, a renowned Judo Coach, who motivated the participants with their inspiring words & encouraged youth to adopt Yogasana for holistic well-being & mental strength.
The Organizing Team comprised Ms. Zubida Lateef Khan (Competition Director), Basit Nabi Wani (Organizing Secretary), Mohammad Altaf Bhat (Competition Manager) & Shabir Ahmad Dar (Senior Yogasana Coach, J&K Sports Council).
The championship reflected discipline, teamwork & athletic excellence, promoting a culture of fitness & mindfulness. The organizers extended heartfelt gratitude to J&K Bank for their continued support & encouragement.
