
Hafsa, Sauliha and Tabin emerge stream toppers
Srinagar, Jan 13: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Wednesday declared the annual Class 12 examination results for Kashmir province, announcing an overall pass percentage of 83 per cent.
Out of 56,842 students enrolled, a total of 47,408 students qualified the examination, officials said.
In the science stream, Hafsa, daughter of Sheikh Maqsood and a student of Kashmir Harvard Higher Secondary School, Habak Naseem Bagh Srinagar, secured the first position, topping the merit list of the stream. She bagged the first position by securing a perfect score of 500 marks, scoring 100 per cent.
In the Commerce stream, Sauliha Nabi Wani, daughter of Ghulam Nabi Wani, also from Kashmir Harvard Higher Secondary School, Habak Naseem Bagh Srinagar, emerged as the stream topper, securing the first position. She secured 498 marks, scoring 99.6 per cent, claiming the first position.
The Arts stream was topped by Tabin Reyaz, son of Reyaz Ahmad Bhat, a student of Government Higher Secondary School, Mattan, Anantnag who secured a perfect score of 500 marks.
In science stream the second position was shared by several students who secured 499 marks with 99.8 per cent. Among them were, Aidah Nasti of Islamia Hanifa Institute, Lal Chowk Anantnag; Asra, of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh Srinagar; Athar Aijaz Shah of Candid Higher Secondary School, Nowgam Srinagar; Azka Rafiq Bhat of Government Higher Secondary School, Chanapora and Simra Rafiq of Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Khanda.
The third position with 498 marks, scoring 99.6 per cent, was also shared by a group of students.
In commerce stream three students shared second position.
Those included Huran Gulzar from R P School, Malbagh Srinagar; Maryam Ashraf of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Nawakadal Srinagar; and Muneeza from Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Zadibal Srinagar. The three scored 497 marks with 99.4 per cent.
Earlier in the day, JKBOSE also declared the result of the annual class 10th examination with an overall pass percentage of 85.03.
