
The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) organized a two-day Entrepreneurship Orientation Program (EOP) for students and faculty of the Department of Food Science and Technology, University of Kashmir.
The event was organized by the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Research (CEER), a program vertical of JKEDI, under the overall supervision of the Director, JKEDI.
The program aimed to familiarize participants with various aspects of entrepreneurship, project report formulation, and the J&K Startup Policy 2024–27, while promoting entrepreneurship as a viable career choice and strengthening the startup ecosystem in the Union Territory.
During the visit, students interacted with JKEDI faculty and experts who briefed them on the evolving startup landscape in Jammu and Kashmir.
Sessions covered key topics such as business plan modeling, Detailed Project Report (DPR) formulation, capacity building, business simulations, financial and market linkages, as well as mentorship support for aspiring entrepreneurs.
Participants were also introduced to various verticals and functions of JKEDI, gaining insights into the Institute’s initiatives aimed at nurturing innovation and enterprise development.
The EOP-cum-interaction session forms part of JKEDI’s continued efforts to engage young students and encourage them to view entrepreneurship as a dynamic and rewarding career path, contributing to the region’s growing startup culture.
