J&K Football Association (JKFA) had recommended the names of seven eligible Cat-3 referees for up gradation to Cat-2 category.
The candidates who appeared in the examination are SarfarazNabi, (Referee), Rafiabad, Tanveer Ahmad (AR) Srinagar,Tariq Ahmad, (AR) Hajin, ZahidZubair (AR) Hajin, Ghulam Mohammad (AR) Sopore, Shabir Ahmad (AR) Soporeand AbidNajar (AR) Budgam.
SrafarzNabi, ZahidZubairand Shabir Ahmad could not qualify the fitness test.
Tanveer Ahmad, Tariq Ahmad, GhulamMohamadand AbiNajar qualified the fitness Test and had to appear in theory and practical examination and viva.
J&K Football Association congratulates the selected candidates who have cleared the fitness test and is hopeful that they will emerge successful in theory and practical exam.
We wish them best of luck in their future endeavours. Those of the candidates who could not clear the fitness test should not be discouraged and will appear in the examination next year.
Prior to their departure to Gwalior special classes were conducted for these Cat 3 Referees by N.A Bhat (HOR) J&K.
J&K Football Association has worked hard for the development of the Referees Department over the years and the results are obviously fruitful.
JKFA is hopeful that the new batches of Referees will also qualify the said examinations when conducted by AIFF and will bring a good name to the UT and JKFA will not stop this chain and will produce Referrers of the National Standard thereby strengthening the Referees department of JKFA.
