The Jammu & Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO) showcased the region’s craftsmanship at the 19th Punjab International Trade Expo (PITEX) in Amritsar, held from December 4–8, 2025.

JKTPO sponsored 36 artisans, exporters, FPOs, and women entrepreneurs from both divisions of J&K, presenting Pashmina shawls, Sozni and Crewel embroidery, leather and woollen goods, Tilla work, Basohli Pashmina, and GI-tagged products such as Kashmiri saffron, dry fruits, dried vegetables, honey, and Rajmash. The pavilion drew over five lakh visitors from India and abroad.
The five-day expo generated sales exceeding ₹1.36 crore and produced 391 business leads with reputed business houses, promising significant growth for participating entrepreneurs.
PITEX 2025 was inaugurated by former President Ram Nath Kovind and Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Cheema. Exhibitors from 17 Indian states and several countries took part, presenting a wide range of products.
The performance of the J&K Pavilion reaffirmed JKTPO’s mission of boosting market access, supporting artisans, and strengthening both B2B and B2C trade opportunities.
In the ongoing financial year, JKTPO has hosted and participated in several major events, including the Buyer–Seller Meet at SKICC, GI Fair in Budgam, Gandhi Shilp Bazaar at Kashmir Haat, Pashmina Festival in Katra, and national-level exhibitions such as Handwoven Expo, World Food India, and IITF at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
