Jmu, Kupwara, Sgr, B’pora shine in U-17 football

Baramulla, Oct 10: The UT-Level Inter-District Under-17 Boys’ Football Competition, organised by the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), J&K, witnessed another action-packed day on Saturday, with nine matches played across four venues in Baramulla district.

The competition is being conducted under the supervision of Director General Youth Services and Sports, Anuradha Gupta, IAS, and hosted by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Baramulla.
At MET Ground, Sopore, Jammu defeated Bandipora 2–0 in the opening encounter, while Poonch registered a convincing 3–0 victory over Kulgam. Bandipora bounced back strongly in their next match, thrashing Reasi 12–0.
At HSS Hadipora, Budgam and Anantnag played [the remaining match details are awaited].
The young footballers displayed impressive skill, determination and sportsmanship throughout the day. The competition will continue over the coming days, providing emerging players an opportunity to showcase their talent and competitive spirit.
