From Sep 30, intelligence-driven joint operations conducted by the Indian Army and Assam Rifles under Spear Corps, in coordination with Manipur Police, led to significant counter-insurgency successes in the hill and valley districts of Tengnoupal, Imphal East, and Chandel in Manipur.

The operations resulted in the apprehension of four active militant cadres and the recovery of eight weapons, along with narcotics and other war-like materials. Security forces credited the success to precise intelligence inputs, meticulous planning, and close civil-military coordination, reinforcing stability and safety in the region.
Officials highlighted that continued vigilance and joint operations remain key to neutralising threats and maintaining peace in Manipur’s sensitive areas.
