
Ganderbal, Oct 1: To promote sportsmanship, teamwork and discipline among youth, J&k Police in Ganderbal, under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), organized a “Kho Kho Tournament” for girls at the Zonal Play Field, Kijpara, Kangan.
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation of girl students from various schools of Sub-Division Kangan, providing them with a platform to showcase their sporting talent and competitive spirit. The event was chaired by SDPO Kangan Shri Rajeev Raina-JKPS. While interacting with the participants, he appreciated the enthusiasm and sporting spirit displayed by the young girls. Moreover, SHO Kangan, Zonal Physical Education Officer Kangan & other senior officers were also present on the said occasion.
The tournament culminated in an exciting final, with Sheikh-ul-Aalam Public School, Kangan emerging as the winners, while Government Higher Secondary School, Hariganiwan secured the runner-up position. The winning and runner-up teams were felicitated with trophies and appreciation certificates.
Police remains committed to engage youth through constructive activities and providing them with opportunities for their holistic development under the Civic Action Programme.
