
On the eve of Constitution Day also known as ‘Samvidhan Diwas’ being observed every year on November 26, Preamble reading ceremonies were held across all the districts of Kashmir.

The Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Diwas, was celebrated with great zeal across Budgam district today.
The day was observed to honour the historic adoption of the Constitution of India and to reiterate collective commitment to the constitutional values that guide the nation.
The main district-level event was held at Sheikh-ul-Alam Hall Budgam, where the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, presided over the programme.
During the ceremony, the Preamble of the Constitution was read out by the DC to a large gathering comprising Government employees, students, officers, and prominent citizens. Through this collective reading, the participants reaffirmed their resolve to uphold the principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
In his address, the DC remarked that Constitution Day commemorates the momentous occasion when the Constituent Assembly adopted the Constitution of India on November 26, 1949, which subsequently came into force on January 26, 1950.
He highlighted that the Constitution stands as a cornerstone of democratic governance and represents the vision and aspirations of the people of India.
Baramulla
In a vibrant celebration of Constitution Day, District Baramulla marked the occasion with a series of engaging events aimed at promoting awareness about the Constitution and fostering civic responsibility among students and citizens.
The day commenced with the virtual administration of the Constitution Day pledge by Lieutenant Governor, observed at the Main Meeting Hall of the DC Office.
The Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, along with senior officers and officials, actively participated in the pledge-taking ceremony, reaffirming their commitment to uphold the principles enshrined in the Constitution.

District Administration Shopian today celebrated National Constitution Day with a series of events aimed at reinforcing constitutional values, democratic responsibilities and citizen awareness.
The programme was held at Mini Secretariat, where Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta presided over the proceedings, accompanied by SSP, Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary; ADDC, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone; ADC, .Zakir Hussain Faaz and other officers and officials.

To mark the 76th Constitution Day celebrations and pay tributes to the founding fathers and architects of the sacred constitution, the District Administration Srinagar on Wednesday hosted the live streaming of J&K level event besides organized pledge-taking ceremonies across the district.
The live streaming of J&K level event presided by Lieutenant Governor, Shri Manoj Sinha was attended by Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo along with senior Officers of District Administration and all the Officers and Officials as a part of the UT level commemoration programme.
Meanwhile, to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India, which has been a beacon of equity, liberty and social justice and a guiding light for the citizens, the District Administration Srinagar today organised Preamble reading ceremonies in all the Government Offices across the District.

District Kulgam today celebrated Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhiman with a series of activities to mark Constitution Day.
As part of the celebrations, Preamble-Reading Ceremonies were held, during which officers, officials, and participants collectively recited the Preamble of the Constitution, reaffirming their commitment to constitutional values and democratic ideals.
A similar ceremony was held at the Mini Secretariat, Kulgam, where the Preamble was read by Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, and joined by SSP Kulgam, Anayat Ali Chowdhary and other officers, officials, and students.

The District Administration Pulwama, in collaboration with Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) Pulwama, today organised a mega event at Government Degree College (Boys) Pulwama to commemorate Samvidhan Diwas (Constitution Day).
