Srinagar, July 24: In a heartfelt celebration of legacy, learning, and lifelong bonds, the University of Kashmir (KU) is set to host its Mega Alumni Meet-2025, bringing together generations of graduates who once walked its famous halls of knowledge and iconic corridors since its inception in 1948. The event promises to be more than just a reunion—it's a tribute to shared journeys, a celebration of identity, and a powerful step towards building a vibrant alumni ecosystem.
With special addresses, alumni felicitation, reflection sessions, and networking opportunities on the agenda, the meet will foster renewed connections while laying the foundation for sustained engagement between the University and its illustrious alumni. It’s an initiative designed to enrich not just individual memories but the very academic and social fabric of the institution itself.
Over the decades, the University has produced thousands of distinguished alumni who have made their mark across domains—judiciary, government, private sector, media, academia, law, healthcare, and entrepreneurship. The meet will shine a spotlight on this legacy of excellence, honouring notable contributors and creating a platform for new collaborations that stretch beyond the walls of the campus.

Vice-Chancellor KU, Prof. Nilofer Khan, said that the event is a celebration and a reflection of the University’s academic legacy and its connection with generations of learners.
“This Mega Alumni Meet is a historic step in reconnecting with our extended university family. Our alumni have made remarkable contributions across sectors, and their presence will inspire our students and strengthen the University’s future directions,” she said.
“We want our alumni to see how their alma mater has grown in terms of academics, infrastructure, and in vision. Their feedback, memories, and aspirations matter deeply to us,” Prof. Khan added.
She further noted that the meet aims to establish a sustainable alumni network through Kashmir University Alumni Association (KUAA) that can serve as a strong pillar of support in academic collaboration, student mentorship, and knowledge-sharing across domains.
