Srinagar, Mar 5: Awami Itihaad Party on Thursday urged the Government of India to take urgent steps to enable the safe return of Kashmiri students studying in Iran, voicing concern over nearly 1,200 students who are still awaiting a way back home.
In a statement, Chief Spokesperson of AIP Inam Un Nabi said the prevailing uncertainty has created deep distress among families in Kashmir, many of whom remain anxious about the well-being of their children.
Inam Un Nabi called upon the authorities to arrange a secure transit for the students from Iran to a neighbouring country where the airspace is functional, allowing authorities to organise their onward journey to India without delay. “Families across Kashmir are deeply worried as their children remain stranded in a difficult situation. The Government must act swiftly and responsibly to ensure their safe return,” Inam Un Nabi said.
