
Poonch, Nov 22: The Krishna Ghati Brigade, under the aegis of the Ace of Spades Division, successfully concluded the Krishna Ghati Premier League (KGPL) 2025-26 with a spectacular grand finale and closing ceremony at the Sports Ground, Jhullas. Held from 02 to 21 November 2025, the tournament saw enthusiastic participation from 26 teams across Poonch, Mendhar, Surankote and Mandi, making it one of the most prominent sporting events in the region The grand finale was graced by the General Officer Commanding, White Knight Corps, Lieutenant General P.K. Mishra, who attended the event as the Chief Guest. He praised the initiative of the Krishna Ghati Brigade in creating a disciplined and professional sports platform for border-area youth. Highlighting the power of sports in instilling discipline, teamwork and leadership, Lt Gen Mishra urged youngsters to stay committed to constructive pathways and contribute to building a drug-free society. He further stressed that events like KGPL play a crucial role in promoting national integration, unity and communal harmony in border regions Also present on the occasion was Brigadier Amit, Commander Krishna Ghati 10th Brigade, whose guidance and leadership played a pivotal role in the smooth conduct of KGPL 2025-26.
