Khelo India Bla girl selected for National School Games

Baramulla, Jan 20: Khelo India Hockey Centre Baramulla has once again brought pride to the region with the selection of one of its promising trainees for the prestigious 69th National School Games under the Under-17 Girls category.

Baseerat Ali, a dedicated trainee of the Khelo India Hockey Centre Baramulla, has earned her place in the J&K U-17 Girls team through consistent hard work, disciplined training and impressive performance on the field. Her selection reflects the growing strength of grassroots sports development in north Kashmir and the positive impact of the Khelo India initiative in nurturing young talent.
Coaches and officials associated with the centre described Baseerat’s achievement as a result of perseverance, regular practice and professional guidance provided at the academy. They said her success would serve as motivation for other young girls in the region to take up sports and pursue excellence at the national level.
The achievement has been made possible with the continuous support and encouragement of the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council. The Khelo India Hockey Centre Baramulla expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Nuzhat Gul, Secretary, J&K Sports Council; Ms. Anissa Nabi, Nodal Officer, Khelo India, JKSC; Mr. Javid-ul-Rehman, Divisional Sports Officer (Central), JKSC; and Ms. Nusrat Gazala, Divisional Sports Officer, Kashmir, for their unwavering support in strengthening sports infrastructure and athlete development.
Officials said the Khelo India Hockey Centre Baramulla remains committed to identifying and grooming young talent from the grassroots level, particularly from rural and underserved areas, and providing them opportunities to compete on national platforms.
