April 07, 2025 | BK News Service

An extra ordinary meeting of the various Kashmiri Pandit Organisations comprising of Temples Trusts, Social Organisations was held at Temple complex of Kheer Bhawani, Janipur, Jammu. The Kashmiri Pandit Samaj is seriously disturbed and feeling hurt by the continuous slander campaign and blasphemous commission of events happened at the Chakreshwari Temple at Deviangan Srinagar on 30th of March 2025.The participants of the meeting unanimously condemned the happenings on the auspicious day of Navrey at our Presiding Deity Shrine . The participants vociferously condemned interruption , disruption of prayers etc by the hooligans .
The members in the meetings resolved that the issue is being investigated by Kashmiri Pandit Community, will be resolved amicably and truth placed before every one. Till then KP Religious Organisations appeal to all brethren to be calm, united, don’t feel agitated and don’t fire the guns especially in Social Media which is further hurting the sentiments of the Kashmiri Samaj.
Spreading lies is not only shameful but also an attack on the democratically and constitutionally managed various KP organisations.
We strongly condemn those forces who are hell bent on tarnishing the image of our places of worship in Kashmir. Such actions are not only disrespectful but also dangerous to our collective faith and unity. Let it be made clear no body is above the law , no individual or group has the right to take law in to their own hands or the UT Government should not encourage such elements.
Adverting to Government letter of some team constituted by Government, the Kashmiri Pandit Community is unanimous in rejecting any such Government moves to meddle in the affairs of the Shrine/Temple. In the same fashion our Bairav Mandir at Chatabal, Srinagar whose possession was taken by the government some decades ago is not restored till date. In same fashion, Shrine/Temples assets at Gulmarg is not being restored by the government and another property / temple complex in Rainawari where the encroachers are not evicted despite court orders.
Further a team of Kashmiri Pandits who will supervise the Investigation & Resolution process will be soon announced.
Those who were present in the meeting were S/Shri Ravi Jogi( ZDPC), Amit Parimo ( ZDPC), Ramesh Khuda(ZDPC), Vikram Koul( KP Volunteers),Roshan Lal ( KP Volunteers), Upinder Handoo,CA( GMPS),B.L.Raina(GMPS), B.L.Jalali(RKPAC),Rakesh Hangloo(RKPAC),Surinder Koul(RKPAC),Sanjay Dhar (Sharika Foundation), Sharan Dhar( Sharika Foundation), MK Koul ( ASKPC), Sunil Shangloo ( ASKPC)
