Srinagar, Mar 10: Students of B.Ed 1st and 2nd Semester (Session 2024) enrolled through private colleges affiliated with the University of Kashmir have expressed concern over the question paper of the Teaching of English examination (Course Code: BED15205A) conducted on Monday.
According to the students, several questions in the examination were allegedly asked from topics that were not part of the officially prescribed syllabus. The candidates said they had prepared strictly in accordance with the course outline provided to them, and the inclusion of out-of-syllabus questions caused confusion and placed many students at a disadvantage.
Students also raised objections regarding the distribution of questions across the syllabus units. They pointed out that Unit III (Teaching of Prose and Poetry and Language Testing) and Unit IV (Grammar and Literary Devices) were not represented in the question paper, leaving significant portions of the syllabus unaddressed.
The affected students have appealed to the authorities of the University of Kashmir to review the matter and take appropriate measures so that the candidates are not unfairly affected.
They expressed hope that the university will examine the issue and take necessary steps to ensure fairness and justice in the evaluation process.
