KU felicitates CCCP candidates for JKPSC success

Srinagar, Mar 16: Vice Chancellor of the University of Kashmir (KU), Prof. Nilofer Khan, felicitated 11 candidates from the university’s Centre for Career Counselling, Coaching and Placement (CCCP) who successfully cleared the JKPSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE–2024). The ceremony was held at the University Main Campus, celebrating the achievements of the aspirants.

The 11 candidates, part of KU’s Civil Services Residential Coaching Programme, secured positions in the merit list announced by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission on March 13. The programme, a flagship initiative of the University, provides structured coaching, academic support, and a fully residential environment for civil services aspirants, particularly focusing on female candidates and those from economically underprivileged backgrounds. Facilities include free accommodation, a 24×7 library, high-speed internet, structured test series, and continuous mentorship.
Congratulating the candidates, Prof. Khan described their success as a moment of pride for the University and a testament to their dedication. She emphasized KU’s commitment to strengthening academic support systems that enable young aspirants to compete successfully in prestigious examinations.
Prof. Khan also acknowledged the guidance of the programme’s Overseeing Committee, headed by Dean Research KU Prof. Mohammad Sultan Bhat, and including Registrar KU Prof. Naseer Iqbal, Director CCCP Prof. Nazir Ahmad, Special Secretary to the VC Dr. Ashfaq Zarri, and Chief Accounts Officer/FA KU Ms. Zafira. She appreciated the sustained mentorship provided by the CCCP team, including Deputy Director Dr. Yahya Bakhtiyar and faculty member Ms. Fatima Ali.
Officials including Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Shariefuddin Pirzada, Registrar Prof. Naseer Iqbal, and Special Secretary Dr. Ashfaq Zarri also lauded the aspirants and highlighted the University’s consistent support in mentoring civil services candidates.
Earlier, Director CCCP Prof. Nazir Ahmad remarked that the success reflected years of sustained effort by the CCCP team, coordinators, mentors, and the Overseeing Committee in developing a vibrant residential academy dedicated to civil services preparation.
The successful candidates also shared their experiences at CCCP, acknowledging the academic guidance and mentorship that played a key role in their achievement.
