MeT predicts light rains, snow in J&K on March 21-22

The Meteorological department Kashmir has forecast cloudy weather with possibility of light rains, snow at many places with thunder, lightning and gusty winds over plains of Jammu and Kashmir on March 21 and 22.
A MeT official said weather conditions are expected to remain generally dry from March 18 to 20.
“On March 21 and 22, the weather will remain generally cloudy with possibility of light rain, snow at many places with thunder, lightning and gusty winds over plains of Kashmir and Jammu divisions,” he said.
He said weather on March 23 will remain generally dry.
“From March 24 to 25 the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy with light rain and snow at few places in Jammu and Kashmir,” the official said.
The MeT official said Srinagar recorded minimum temperature of 3.5 degrees Celsius while in Qazigund night temperature settled at 2.8 degrees Celsius.
Pahalgam recorded a low of minus 1.3 degrees Celsius while Kokernag recorded a minimum of 3.2 degrees Celsius.
In Kupwara town, night temperature settled at 1.3 degrees Celsius.
The ski resort of Gulmarg recorded a low of minus 0.5 degrees Celsius.
