
The University of Kashmir’s Youth Parliament Team has advanced to the final round of the 17th National Youth Parliament competition, organized by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India.
Selected among 51 teams nationwide, KU’s team impressed judges with their oratory skills, clarity of thought, and knowledge of parliamentary procedures, earning them a spot among the top eight finalists.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Nilofer Khan hailed the victory as a reflection of the youth’s intellectual potential and civic engagement, while Registrar Prof. Naseer Iqbal praised the university's growing national presence.
Dean Students Welfare Prof. Pervez Ahmed and Cultural Officer Dr. Shahid Ali Khan, who mentored the team, credited performance-based training methods and sustained student support for the achievement.
