In order to promote sporting culture and provide a suitable platform for young sportsmen, frontier premier cricket league is being organised in district Kupwara in the month of October 2025.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Suse chaired a meeting to finalize preparations for the upcoming Frontier Cricket Tournament.
Tournament is being organised with collaborative efforts of district administration, JK police and Indian army.
On the occasion, detailed discussions were held on tournament logistics, participation of teams, publicity strategy, and venue management to ensure a smooth event.
Tournament is based on the message of ‘Nasha Mukt Kupwara’ and with the objective of creating vibrancy in zero border villages.
DC expressed confidence that the tournament will boost youth engagement in sports and strengthen community spirit in the district.
