KU’s Geography Department holds alumni meet

The Department of Geography & Disaster Management, University of Kashmir, extended a warm welcome to its former students at the much-anticipated alumni meet held at Gandhi Bhawan.
The event brought together alumni from various batches, now excelling in diverse professional fields including academia, administration, civil services, and media.
The meet was attended among others by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nilofer Khan, who expressed her pride and satisfaction over the achievements of the department’s alumni. “Seeing our alumni making their mark in civil services, arts, media, and other important roles gives us immense satisfaction. They are a testament to the strength and impact of our academic foundation,” she said in her address.
Distinguished alumni shared their journeys and experiences, reflecting on their time at the university and the role it played in shaping their careers. The gathering provided a platform for networking, mentorship, and collaboration among current students and graduates, further strengthening the university’s vibrant academic community.
