
Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Anantnag, SKUAST-Kashmir successfully concluded a series of Kisan Sampark Abhiyan Rural Credit Workshops under the Jammu & Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement of Agriculture & Allied Projects (JKCIP).
The workshops were organized across five identified blocks of the district viz. Achabal, Anantnag, Chattergul, Hiller Shahabad, and Sagam.
Commencing from 12th August 2025, the campaign comprised 18 workshops, covering more than 90 Panchayat Halqas of the district. Each programme witnessed enthusiastic participation of farmers, entrepreneurs, Self Help Group (SHG) and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) representatives, taking the total outreach to diverse groups of stakeholders.
The events also recorded the active participation of MLAs and DDCs, ensuring strong community linkage and policy-level support.
During the workshops, scientists of KVK-Anantnag, officers from Agriculture and allied departments, and officials from J&K Bank delivered detailed lectures on schemes and programmes under JKCIP. The participants were sensitized about the 50% subsidy available on every scheme enlisted under JKCIP, motivating them to avail benefits for strengthening farming systems, establishing enterprises, and boosting rural livelihoods.
This series of workshops created a robust platform for knowledge sharing, credit linkage, and capacity building enhancing the sustainability of agriculture and allied sectors in Anantnag district.
