
Labour Commissioner Jammu and Kashmir Charandeep Singh today chaired a meeting of officers of the Department to review the preparations for SewaParv 2025 to be observed from 17th September to 2nd October 2025.
During the meeting, the Commissioner took a detailed review of the proposed activities to be organized across the Union Territory as part of the fortnight-long programme. He emphasized to celebrate SewaParv-2025 in a vibrant, impactful and participative manner reflecting the true spirit of public service and outreach.
The Labour Commissioner directed the stakeholders including the DLC Central, DLC Jammu, Kashmir, all Assistant Labour Commissioners, Insurance Medical Officers, Inspectors of Factories, Labour Officers and Labour Inspectors to actively participate and ensure wider awareness about the initiatives of the Labour Department.
He stressed on the importance of involving workers, employers, trade unions, industry representatives and the general public in the campaign so that the benefits of the government welfare schemes and services of the department reach every section of society.
The activities outlined in the calendar issued by the department will be organized at multiple venues including labour chowks, labour colonies, industrial estates, major establishments, schools, hospitals and other labour-centric places to ensure maximum participation and outreach.
The Labour Commissioner further called upon the officers to work in coordination and synergy to make SewaParv 2025 a meaningful and result-oriented exercise, aligning with the vision of public service, outreach and inclusive development.
