Kashmir is known for its beauty around the world, and is used as symbolic representation of heaven, having green lush forests and snow capped mountains with pure and clean water and air. However, the green cover, and the beauty are in danger due to illegal constructions by way of encroachments on government land, village commons and even in green belts.

Over time, much of the state-owned land and village commons have been occupied by local residents and people in power, although very little of it is used for habitation but there are many illegal constructions, Irony is that even people who are the part of the administration are encroaching the state and forest land either directly or indirectly by taking bribes from the Encroachers and giving them free hand to start construction of buildings or for any other purpose. Green activists here in Kashmir valley are highly concerned over the illegal constructions of Green gold land and the authorities are sitting mute spectators. One shocks after hearing that even the state land is being converted to ones own property by revenue officials in dozens of villages across the Kashmir.
Though social activists along with the officials of the forest department are doing plantation drives every year in order to save state and forest land from encroachment but the support of top officials to the culprits involved in encroachment are disappointing young and budding Social activists from doing so .Need of the hour is to protect the state owned land from these evils so that not only common man but wild animals will get rid from the difficulties they are facing from long time and the state land can be used for some Government's use like construction of hospitals, schools and other public build it due to which common and poor residents will get benefit.
In cities and villages throughout India, mafias consisting of municipal and other government officials, elected politicians, judicial and law enforcement officials, acquire, develop and sell land in illegal ways for profit
There are few goons in our society that shows the muscle power to brush the voice of innocents those people had a great links with the officials to grab state and or No man's land it is really a Tragedy that the administration fails to take action towards them as per the law .I had a good physical experience of year's were I saw a few Political Puppets who are dominant over poor & weak people
that is why the society is facing a lot of atrocities & there is no peace.
Innocents are fighting for their basic rights when they fail to get it then the instability occurs in common masses.
The Tragedy is that there are few goons in our society who had purchased statel and of Rs 1.5 lac & the Revenue department seems completely blind to take any action how u expect those will bring peace in the society
Administrationshould ponder over it & take a stern action against land grabber's (Land Mafia).
