
Srinagar, May 13: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday decided to reduce the size of his official convoy by half following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for austerity and fuel-saving measures.
Officials from Lok Bhawan said Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has decided to cut down his official convoy size by half, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s austerity call.
"The decision has been taken in line with the Prime Minister’s recent emphasis on adopting austerity measures and promoting fuel conservation during official movements and government functioning," they said.
The reduction in convoy size is aimed at encouraging efficient use of resources while maintaining essential security protocols.
Officials said the Lieutenant Governor directed that the convoy strength accompanying his official movement be reduced substantially with immediate effect.
