It is a fact that life is the most beautiful gift from God. No gift is as sweet as life. When there is life, there is everything. Without life, nothing is tangible. When this is the case, how careful we must be in living this ephemeral life. It is a long journey, with many ups and downs. It is both an individual as well as a collective entity. Learning from oneself is as necessary as learning from others. Society is where we live. It makes us to drink its own drinks to get hooked to a particular thought or thoughts. In this way, life takes different forms. However, the common thread among all the thoughts and ideologies is that life is all about self-introspection. On the contrary, when life is taken in terms of some narrow ways, all goes awry.

Man is the crown of creations. He has the faculties to understand things minutely. Using his ingenuity, he can go ahead of everything and everyone. He can understand life better than others. He has the potential to look above the surface. However, he sometimes stoop very low and becomes a puppet in other’s hands. In other words, he forgets his life while living. He is enticed by worthless things. His goal of life is so remarkable that in front of that, everything looks a dwarf thing. When this is the case, then which cause or causes force a man to stop living his life and keep staring and cherishing things that have little value for him? In the following lines, I will discuss some causes responsible for this sorry state of affairs.
The first is lack of introspection. If a man introspects, he will definitely come across himself. Reaching that stage will enable him to forget everything, though he remembers everything. To make yourself nothing, even though you are everything. Pablo Neruda in his poem “ Keeping Quiet “ says that due to greed for more and more material, there is chaos and confusion in our lives. Peace will come when we stop and introspect. When many identities are lost and one identity is accepted, it means you live your life. The second is working against God’s plan. He wants from us to be yourself first and then your family. After that, you must care for others. However, caring for others without caring for yourself, is madness. You will never live your life in this way. Giving proper attention to yourself as commanded by God, means that you are following the God’s chosen path and there will surely be victory. And this is the best way of living. The third is ungrateful society. Barring some people, a majority of people are selfish. Feeding snakes in the hope that they will not bite me, is the maddest thing in the world. In this example, there is a lesson for us that never try to appease people, who are hell-bent upon to criticize us, after giving them honour as well as support. Going against this, is the way of living your life. The fourth and last is our fault. We do keep expecting from people. Knowing that they won’t do anything good for us, without having selfish motive behind it, we ruin ourselves. We become so engrossed in the everyday mundane things that the original goal gets out of sight.
So, the need of the hour is to begin live our lives and know the real meaning of our lives. That life is a true life in which a person’s personality develops every day. The life which rather than looking outside, delves deep into the inner finer qualities. A big tree is the product of a minute seed. It means life is a fragile thread that needs constant vigil and consciousness. Today, everybody is preoccupied with his or her things. In this way, why should a person wait for others to come and then he or she will start living? It is better to come out of this illusion as soon as possible and start living this mortal life in such a way to become immortal forever.
