The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Army's Chinar Corps Lt Gen ADS Aujla on Wednesday took over the mantle of Colonel of the Regiment (COR) of Rajputana Rifles from Lt Gen CP Cariappa.
Lt Gen ADS Aujla has taken over as the 19th Colonel of the Regiment of Rajputana Rifles.
Army said Lt Gen Aujla, Chinar Corps Commander assumed the appointment of ‘Colonel of the Rajputana Rifles’ and & its 19th Col Commandant from Lt Gen CP Cariappa.
“On assuming, Lt Gen Aujla conveyed greetings to all ranks, families, veer naris, veterans and remembered the sacrifices of the fallen heroes of the Regiment,” Army said.
Lt Gen Aujla took over the command of the Srinagar based sensitive Chinar Corps in May last year.
