Chandel, Dec 2: Thirteen-year-old Master Abraham Pausiankap, displaced by violence in Chandel and the son and grandson of proud Indian Army veterans, has overcome adversity with quiet determination. His inspiring story came to public attention after a photograph of him attending a Territorial Army rally touched many hearts.

Recognizing his potential and the challenges he faced, Assam Rifles intervened to secure his admission to the Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS), providing him with a stable educational environment and opportunities for personal growth.
Abraham was felicitated by Lt Gen Abhijit S. Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding SpearCorps, in recognition of his courage and perseverance. Officials praised his resilience and highlighted the role of institutions like Assam Rifles in supporting children from conflict-affected areas.
