Dimapur, Oct 29: In a significant step towards strengthening healthcare infrastructure and emergency response capabilities, Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding, Spear Corps, inaugurated four state-of-the-art Critical Care Ambulances and an Electric Cart at the 165 Military Hospital, Rangapahar Military Station, Dimapur. The equipment was generously donated by the SIRF Foundation as part of its ongoing collaboration with the Indian Army.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mrs Preeti Pendharkar, Zonal President of Spear AWWA, along with senior military officials and representatives from the foundation. The event underscored the Army’s continued focus on enhancing medical readiness and welfare facilities for troops and their families across the North East region.
The newly inducted Critical Care Ambulances are equipped with advanced life-support systems, ensuring swift and efficient medical evacuation and treatment during emergencies. The addition of an Electric Cart will further facilitate intra-hospital mobility, especially for patients requiring assistance within the medical complex.
Lt Gen Pendharkar commended the SIRF Foundation for its commitment to supporting defence healthcare initiatives, noting that such partnerships bridge the gap between civil society and the armed forces in delivering quality healthcare solutions
