Imphal, Sep 11: On the third day of his visit to Manipur, Lieutenant General Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding of the Spear Corps, conducted a comprehensive review of the security situation across key areas including Kamlakhong, Maphou, and several other sensitive locations.
During the visit, the Corps Commander interacted with troops deployed on ground and was briefed on the current operational dynamics, challenges, and ongoing measures being taken to maintain peace and stability in the region.
Lt Gen Pendharkar commended the personnel for their tireless efforts, professionalism, and high morale, particularly in view of the complex security environment in Manipur. He emphasized the importance of maintaining operational readiness, community outreach, and coordination with civil administration to ensure lasting peace.
"The dedication and resilience shown by our troops in difficult terrain and challenging circumstances is truly commendable. Your role is pivotal in maintaining the delicate balance between firm security and humanitarian outreach," he remarked while addressing the soldiers.
