
Jammu, Oct 5 : Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, PVSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Northern Command, chaired a high-level Security Review and Coordination Meeting in Srinagar to undertake a comprehensive assessment of the prevailing security situation, operational preparedness and coordination mechanisms among key stakeholders.
During the meeting, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma reviewed detailed security and operational inputs and took stock of the preparedness of the security forces and agencies to effectively respond to emerging challenges. He emphasised the importance of maintaining a high level of vigilance, operational readiness and proactive coordination among all stakeholders.
The Army Commander stressed the need for enhanced inter-agency synergy, real-time intelligence sharing and seamless information flow to strengthen the security grid and facilitate rapid response to any emerging threat.
Lt Gen Pratik Sharma further underscored the importance of integrated planning, coordinated operations and effective utilisation of intelligence inputs for ensuring timely and decisive action. He called for sustained cooperation among security agencies to further enhance the effectiveness of joint operations and maintain a robust security environment.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of all stakeholders towards close coordination, heightened preparedness and a unified approach to addressing security challenges in the region.
