Poonch, Mar 5: Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander of the Northern Command, visited the forward areas of Shahsitar in Poonch and Hanjanwali in Rajouri Sector to review the prevailing security situation and ongoing counter-terrorism operations in the region.

During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed by senior field commanders about the existing intelligence grid and the focused measures being undertaken to enhance operational capabilities. The briefing also highlighted the coordinated efforts of security forces aimed at maintaining peace and ensuring effective counter-terrorism operations in the challenging security environment of the region.Lt Gen Pratik Sharma appreciated the operational preparedness of the troops and reviewed the strategies being implemented for sustained security operations.
