Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday expressed grief over the killing of DG Prisons H K Lohia at his Jammu residence.
“Shri Hemant Lohia was an outstanding Police officer and a great human being. He served the country with great honour & dedication. Shocked and deeply grieved at his sad demise. My condolences to the bereaved family and friends,” LG said in a tweet.
Lohia was found dead at his residence on the outskirts of Jammu on Monday night. His throat was slit and there were burn injuries on the body. According to Additional Director General of Police, Mukesh Singh, Yasir Lohar was working in this house for nearly six months and he is suspected to be the main culprit behind the crime.
